The Ocean County Sheriff’s K-9 dogs were called in to Lakewood a short time ago after a woman with Alzheimer’s went missing. The woman, approximately 80 years old, was reported missing by family members, who said she disappeared from her home and may not find her way home. Betzalel Goodman of All The Way Towing heard about the search and began searching, after getting a more detailed description from authorities.
A short time later, Betzalel spotted the shivering woman just standing at the corner of 1st Street and Madison Avenue.
Police were called and the K-9 units were cancelled.
Ironically, it’s the same spot Betzalel Goodman spotted a suspect hiding from police after he pistol-whipped a woman last year, as reported on TLS. The gun from that incident was found in a nearby trash can.
In December of 2009, Betzalel – who has assisted police in several arrests – was awarded with a community service award by the LPD, as reported on TLS.
