VIDEO: Yesterday, the Detect & Render Safe Tact Force held a training day at the Blue Claws Stadium. The director of the operation, State Police Sergeant John Beck tells TLS, K-9 Trainers from around the Central Region meet once a month in different areas to provide training for the various agencies in the task force. Beck also thanked the Blue Claws Stadium for allowing the agencies to use their facilities.
The dogs are trained to sniff out explosives and follow trails using an item with a similar scent.
Some of the participating agencies were Mercer County Sheriffs Department, NJ State Police, Brick Police, Ewing Police, NJ Transit Police, and Ocean County Sheriffs Department – the main service provider for Lakewood. TLS.
