A PREVIEW:
Bringing the Nations Closer to Hashem: Our Role in the Coming Redemption
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Lakewood Scoop for publishing the letters I sent to President Donald J. Trump over the past year, as well as the replies I received from him. To date, I have merited to receive four responses from President Trump.
The publication of these letters created a ripple effect: non-Jews from around the world reached out, curious and inspired by the words I had written. Some even asked whether President Trump could be the Messiah. Others wanted to understand the consequences of not following Hashem’s will. Time and again, our conversations returned to one central truth: the responsibility of all humanity to observe the Sheva Mitzvos Bnei Noach—the Seven Noahide Laws.
One individual in particular, Debbie Korn, was deeply moved and sincerely sought the truth. Her sincerity became a source of inspiration for me to write this book, A Light to the Nations. Her story appears in Section 4, page 85.
I believe the knowledge within this book will be of tremendous benefit to mankind, granting clarity on how to serve Hashem with honesty and sincerity. Though it is my first book written specifically for non-Jews, every Jew can benefit from it as well—for it teaches us how to communicate with the nations of the world, guide them closer to Hashem, and fulfill our sacred role as Or LaGoyim—a light to the nations.
The Message of This Sefer:
- Wars and violence will cease—including attacks by Arabs against Jews.
- Lies, hatred, and antisemitism will come to an end.
- Terror and bloodshed will be no more.
- Nations will live together in peace.
This vision is directly connected to the ultimate destiny of Am Yisroel: the coming of Moshiach Tzidkeinu and the rebuilding of the Third and Final Beis HaMikdash.
The words of the Navi ring with timeless clarity:
“For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
כִּי בֵיתִי בֵּית־תְּפִלָּה יִקָּרֵא לְכָל־הָעַמִּים ישעיהו נ”ו:ז
“Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks.”
“The earth will be filled with the knowledge of Hashem, as the waters cover the sea.”
כִּי־מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ דֵּעָה אֶת־ה׳, כַּמַּיִם לַיָּם מְכַסִּים ישעיהו י”א:ט
Every Jew has a role in this global mission. By teaching non-Jews the Seven Noahide Laws and inspiring them to live in accordance with Hashem’s will, we help bring closer the day when the world will be filled with peace, justice, and divine knowledge.
May Hashem bless our efforts, hasten the coming of Moshiach, and allow us to witness the rebuilding of the Beis HaMikdash, when:
“On that day, Hashem will be One and His Name One.”
בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא יִהְיֶה ה׳ אֶחָד, וּשְׁמוֹ אֶחָד זכריה י”ד:ט
The Jewish people have always carried a unique mission: to bring Hashem’s light into the world and to serve as a moral compass for all mankind. Today, in a world that seems increasingly confused about right and wrong, that mission has never been more urgent.
It was with this vision in mind that I wrote my new sefer, A Light to the Nations. This work is not only a Torah sefer for our own community, but also a guide for how Klal Yisrael can share the timeless truths of the Torah with the nations around us.
Letters from a President
You may wonder — what does a rabbi in Lakewood have to do with world affairs? Why would a political leader, especially the President of the United States, pay attention to a private rabbi’s words?
And yet, to date, I have merited to receive four letters of personal thanks from President Donald J. Trump. In his correspondence, he expressed gratitude for my words, for my encouragement, and for sharing Torah-based perspectives with him.
This in itself is astonishing. As Yidden we make up barely 0.2% of the world’s population — hardly a voting bloc or political force in worldly terms. And yet, throughout history, kings and rulers have sought the advice of Jewish sages, sensing that the Torah carries an eternal wisdom and a direct connection to the Ribono Shel Olam.
President Trump’s responses reflect this same recognition. They also affirm what our Torah has promised all along: that the Jewish people, though small in number, are tasked with carrying Hashem’s truth into the world.
The Miracle of Jewish Survival
When King Louis XIV once asked the philosopher Blaise Pascal for proof of God, Pascal answered simply: “Why, the Jews, Your Majesty — the Jews!”
Our survival against all odds is nothing short of miraculous. Two thousand years ago, the Jewish population numbered around 10 million. The Chinese, at that time, numbered around 30 million. Today the Chinese are nearly 1.5 billion strong, while the Jews remain barely 15 million worldwide. Demographic models would predict our extinction or massive growth — but instead we remained small, never disappearing, as foretold in the Torah itself:
“And Hashem will scatter you among the nations, and you will remain few in number among the nations where Hashem will lead you.” (Devarim 4:27)
Our very existence today is living testimony that the Torah is true. Despite crusades, inquisitions, pogroms, and the Holocaust, the Jewish people live on — not because of numbers, but because of fidelity to the Torah.
A Torah That Never Changes
Christians have called the Torah the “Old Testament.” But the Torah itself declares explicitly that it is eternal and unchanging:
“Do not add to the word which I command you, nor diminish from it.” (Devarim 4:2)
“Everything I command you, that you shall be careful to do; you shall neither add to it, nor subtract from it.” (Devarim 13:1)
From Har Sinai until today, the Torah remains the anchor of Jewish life. It has carried us through galus and given us the clarity to remain steadfast, even when the nations around us embraced falsehoods.
The Mission of a Light to the Nations
But the Torah does not only speak to Jews. Already in the days of Noach, Hashem set forth seven universal laws — the Sheva Mitzvos Bnei Noach — for all humanity. These laws form the foundation of morality, justice, and human decency.
They include prohibitions against murder, theft, idolatry, adultery, blasphemy, and cruelty to animals, along with the obligation to establish courts of justice.
Chazal teach us that any non-Jew who accepts and follows these laws out of recognition of Hashem is considered among the righteous of the nations and earns a share in Olam Haba.
This is a powerful message. Unlike Christianity or Islam, Judaism does not seek mass conversion. The Torah’s demand for the nations is far simpler — not to become Jews, but to accept these seven basic laws and live righteous lives.
Why This Sefer Now?
The moral fabric of today’s world is collapsing. Behaviors once considered shameful are celebrated; morality is twisted into immorality, and immorality is labeled as virtue. Confusion reigns.
But Klal Yisrael has clarity. We know that Torah never changes. We know that Hashem gave us a blueprint for life that is valid for all times and all people. And we know that our role is to carry that light into the world.
That is why I wrote A Light to the Nations.
What the Sefer Contains
This sefer is structured in six sections:
- The Seven Noahide Laws Explained
A clear and accessible presentation of each of the laws, their meaning, and their application today. - Perspectives on Morality from Torah
How timeless Torah wisdom offers clarity in an age of confusion. - Letters to President J Trump
Including my correspondence with President Trump, supported by insights from President Ronald Reagan and the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
- Real-Life Stories
Such as the moving account of a woman named Debbie Korn:“One individual in particular, Debbie Korn, was deeply moved and sincerely sought the truth. Her sincerity became a source of inspiration for me to write this book, A Light to the Nations. Her story appears in Section 4, page 85.”
Her journey exemplifies how the Torah’s teachings and the Seven Noahide Laws can profoundly impact sincere truth-seekers.
- Questions and Answers
Based on actual correspondence I have received from non-Jews around the world. - Coexistence and Respect
Insights on how Jews and non-Jews can live side by side in harmony, with Jews upholding the Torah and non-Jews living by the Seven Noahide Laws.
Why Every Frum Yid Should Read This Book
You may be asking: Why should I buy this sefer?
The answer is simple: because it strengthens our appreciation of Klal Yisrael’s unique mission, and because it equips us to share that truth with others.
Every day, we interact with non-Jews — coworkers, neighbors, acquaintances, and even family members. Many of them are searching. They want clarity. They want morality. They want direction.
This sefer gives you the tools to present Torah truth in a way that is respectful, honest, and inspiring.
A Sefer to Share
I believe that every frum Yid should not only learn from this sefer but also share it. Buy one for yourself, and buy another to give to a neighbor, a colleague, or even a non-Jewish friend who is sincerely seeking truth.
The nations are waiting for direction. The prophet Yeshayahu declared:
“I will also make you a light for the nations, that My salvation may reach the ends of the earth.” (Yeshayahu 49:6)
That mission is not just for gedolim or world leaders. It is for every Jew.
Conclusion
In A Light to the Nations, I seek to fulfill that mission in our times: to articulate the Torah’s eternal truth, to offer clarity in an age of confusion, and to show how Jews and non-Jews alike can live according to Hashem’s will.
Now is the time for us to embrace this role proudly. Let us strengthen ourselves in Torah, and let us also carry the message outward, bringing light into a darkening world.
This sefer is a tool for that mission. I urge every Yid: bring it into your home, learn it, and then share it.
Together we can fulfill our destiny as Hashem’s people — a light to the nations.
