  1. Hashem is doing the former president a beautiful and life saving deed.
    Hashem knows very well where Mr. Trump is planning to go (a place that needs a passport) and Hashem knows that there might be some kind of mechanical issues with the plane.
    Hashem wants the former president alive, so there was no choice and the passports have to be confiscated.
