  1. Why are you doing this now at the end of February, after all the schools and camps have set their schedule? They already are charging more than ever, for an already shortened summer schedule. Now you’re telling them to shorten the camp schedule further, will they refund a portion of the monies?

  2. Nice that Torah Umesorah is stepping in to make the system standardized. Personally I grew up in the yeshiva system and we started in the beginning of September every year even in Beis medrash so I dont get why they cant cant continue that but in any case this seems to be a decent compromise to all.

  3. bottom line is lakewood changes than all camps and other programs will be forced to change . This still leaves 12 days for girls and 10 for boys at end of summer not having schedule and leaving most parents unable to work during that time . They can’t even go on family trips their mesivta bochurim started already . Great Idea and it should be implemented but need find fix for end of summer as well

  4. I think they forgot about NY schools that give regents when they made this, like monsey mom said.
Regents are usually given between the 14thish and the 22ndish. It’s a while away but in ’26 when TU wants camps to start the 18th, high school students who are taking regents won’t be able to be in camp as they will have to be taking the regents.
