  1. you say that developement have issues because if the narrow streets-
Here the streets are void of cars and the roads are wide- AND FULL OF SNOW

  2. COME ON!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! STEP IT UP LAKEWOOD! WE’RE ABOUT TO WILE OUT IF WE DON”T GET PLOWED OUT IN LIKE 2 SECONDS. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

  3. I’m going to create an angry mob to seek and destroy the plow truck if they don’t plow PAWNEE ROAD within the hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. please make sure they do not re plow the streets that have been plowed in middle of the night or early morning. we worked so hard shoveling out and we are concerned they will go back to our street later on and block our driveways again. i live in the Glen Avenue north area which includes Glen N. Carlton N and Royal avenues

  5. Reasons why the streets were not plowed by the overfunded DPW.

    1. The Dpw first plows the main arteries that are foe emergency use than they plow the Township Parking lots and Clifton Avenue.Next comes the Streeta were commitee members and township employees live.
2.Secondary streets and developments were most residents live are ignored for the first 24 hours of the storm resulting in the snow turning ice and them of course the plow cant make it through.

    3. They are not ready or equipped for snow removal .Unlike the county and neighboring towns they dont get the job done.
4.There is no oversite on the other departments the township comittee members must get elected every 3 years yet other department heads are there for years with out any accountability based on job performance. There is nothing the taxpayers can do about it since the commitee members cant tell a veteran worker what to do.

  6. Just wondering…
The schedule says Gefen and Shemen (and Rimon, Zayis, Chita and Se’orah) is going to happen at 7:50 and New England Village will be at 8:45. HOW can the guy plow all of White Oak and Red Oak (and Green Oak) and then zoom over to NE Village????
(This is based on the realization that there is only ONE 25 yr old farkrocheneh truck with the Mayor behind the wheel doing all the plowing in the town while the hard-working DPW workers enjoy a well deserved vacation for all the plowing they have done so far this winter.)
And By the Way – TORI COURT – you are NOT getting plowed out until at least Wednesday or whenever the last plow goes out (whichever is later). This is because your street is NO LONGER called Tori COURT, it was changed a number of months ago to Tori DRIVE so there is NO WAY for the (one) truck to find it (I’m not making this up)!!!!
Anyway, I am sure that the (elite) people on Tori Court/Drive are NOT waiting around and have surely by now hired their own private plow.

The drive alone from one to the other will take him more than 30 minutes.

  8. Please remember the rescue of the miners in Chile and keep the cameras back when we finally emerge. Also, if anyone can get us sunglasses from the Dollar Store, that would be great.

  9. can you please post who DID get plowed because it seems from my window and all comments that no one did get plowed yet
langert its almost 12 am we will get louder

  10. Some of you sound totally pathetic! This was an epic storm. Go inside, enjoy your family a bit. They’ll get to you eventually, they always do!! Give em a break! Where is it you need to go exactly??

  11. the only way to get things done around here is to call public works (only during business hrs)and give it to them good. i did that a few yrs ago and my street has been plowed ever since. including today

  12. All you guys waiting! Don’t get excited the guy came down Teaberry and plowed one path down the middle, buried us in a little more, got stuck and left the block and didn’t do the 2 side streets. I guess we will see him after next storm!

  13. Its not just lakewood, a lot of brooklyn has not been touched either. Just spoke to two different pple in two different areas in brooklyn and they have not seen a plow down their street either.

  14. We on Ashley and Wynatt have had all cars off the street since Sunday morning, yet we have still not been plowed. So all of Chief Lawson and Langerts talk before the storm as to how important it is to keep the cars off the road seems meaningless.

On a separate note the average tax payment on our block is 10k and despite that the township cant’ get the job done. Why doesn’t the township hire hundreds of day laborers at ten dollars an hour to literally shovel the streets? By now the entire town would be done and done well.

  15. guys, take a chil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you got yourself a break just like this in the middle of life, ENJOY IT! spend time with your wife (yes, maybe this is a sholom bayis call from above) and kids! eat meals together, talk to them, its UR family ur stuck with!! and you too busniessmen, who HAVE to be at work, nebach my heart bleed borshed for your suffering, everybody is in the same boat! they understand you r stuck, so take a chill, it shows very bad character that you can’t stop complaing!

  16. What about 14th Street? Cedar Row? Willow Court? Martin Street? Curtis Lane? Ivory Court? Our ENTIRE area has not seen a PLOW!!!
    PLEASE…………..

  17. When is Brookhill getting plowed?!!!? It’s always one of the last developments! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLOW BROOKHILL!!
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK!!!!! 🙂

  18. This is really hilarious. The Yeshiva World has an identical thread to this one except that it’s about NEW YORK CITY. Same complaints, same “my street wasn’t touched” same hasn’t the City learned from last year. It’s really funny. Except that New York has 1700 plows out and still can’t get this blizzard cleaned up.

  19. Guy came down Warren to Jay St. earlier today for tax-free, tax- funded Ocean Inc. townhomes and left us stranded. Please come back to Rose Park Crescent! My neighbors say they are up to date on tax bills. Thanks.

  20. They built the fancy (expensive) franklin pw so the trucks can have a nice warm cozy home to protect them from the elements. Does that mean we need to wait for the snow to melt before the trucks are allowed out of the garage?

  21. # 96 – my street was plowed, twice I think, and is quite passable. Probably the rest of my area is plowed, although I haven’t ventured out to verify this. I might tomorrow.

So many complaints. Doesn’t anyone pay attention to weather reports? It’s not like this was a surprise. You should have prepared ahead of time for any provisions you may have needed. Don’t depend on the undependable. DPW has yet to prove themselves to your satisfaction and until they do, you’ve only got yourselves to blame. Heck, I celebrated a holiday (which was more like 2 days for me) just prior to the storm and I made sure I was prepared for extra days of food, gassed up cars, tools, etc just in case. You all make it sound like Lakewood is the lone idiot who wasn’t able to deal with this storm properly. I’ve got news for you. Friends in other towns in both southern Ocean County and in Monmouth County are in the same boat. Be grateful you have power. You’d probably all be complaining about GPU if that were the case. Hunker down, chill out, and be safe.

    (ready to deflect the darts)

  22. Not that this comment will help but do u really think letting all us readers know what street u live on that wasn’t plowed gonna do anything I mean I would think this was a conversation between a bunch of 4 yearolds
