UPDATED: Patient hospitalized after being extricated from overturned vehicle on Route 88 (VIDEO)

img_0044[PHOTOS BELOW] A patient was extricated from her vehicle after if flipped on Route 88 this afternoon.

The two-vehicle accident occurred shortly after 1 PM at the intersection of Route 88 and Pearl Street.

Extrication units from Lakewood First Aid and Hatzolah responded to the scene, and cut out the windshield to free the trapped woman.

She was transported by Hatzolah to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
