UPDATED: Person accidentally shoots himself at range in Lakewood

img_0914PHOTO: A person was accidentally shot at a shooting range in Lakewood moments ago, officials confirm to TLS.

The incident occurred around 4:20 pm at the shooting range in Industrial Park.

Officials say the victim, an employee at the range, was shot in the hand as he was removing a gun from a storage unit. 

The employee, approximately 60, was transported by Lakewood EMS to Ocean Medical Center and is expected to make a full recovery. 

Lakewood’s Detective Bureau is investigating.

    We at Garden State Shooting Center had an accidental discharge of a .22 caliber handgun by an employee. The employee injured his own hand. No other parties were involved. The employee was treated and released by the hospital.

  2. You at Garden State Shooting center force experienced gun owners to watch a safety course but your employees dont? Try unloading your rentals before putting them back on the shelf so your patrons lives are not at risk.

    He could of watched the video 100 times, it clearly states above that it was an accidental discharge, we all make mistakes
