A serious crash involving a motorcycle and a n SUV on the Garden State Parkway in Lakewood has left a motorcyclist in critical condition this afternoon.

According to initial reports, the collision occurred at mile marker 89.9 southbound.

Lakewood EMS began CPR on the victim, described as an approximately 50-year-old male, and managed to regain a pulse at the scene before he was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Expect heavy delays for the next few hours as police conduct an investigation.
