Lakewood School District Superintendent, Ms. Laura Winters, has accepted the Board President’s offer to return for several more years.

“I would be honored to accept,” Ms. Winters wrote in an email today to Board President Barry Iann. “I look forward to working together to ensure that all students in the Lakewood School District receive a high quality education.”

As earlier reported, Ms. Winters’ contract expires on June 30, and as of now is not being renewed. She also declined an interim position.

The more permanent offer, however, still needs to be voted on by the rest of the Board.
