Donating to the construction of a new Hatzolah building is no less of a Mitzvah than donating to the construction of a new Shul or Yeshiva .
32 years ago (in Lakewood) a new nusach Ashkenaz Shul had begun to be built in my neighborhood (I Daven Sefard) and it was stuck for months by an incompleted foundation (no one in Lakewood had money than) so I took out a $5,000 bank check from my savings and told them here finish the foundation, shortly after that I had to open a bank account in another bank because so much came back that it went over the FDIC limit.
