The Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners this evening appointed Harrison Pfeffer to fill the seat vacated earlier this month by Denise Gregory.
A unanimous vote by the Board gave the position to Pfeffer, who was sworn into office by the Board’s attorney, Jay Sendzik, Esq.
Pfeffer’s family has a long history in the Township. His father, a noted attorney who passed away last year, represented many shuls and mosdos over the years, and is best remembered for his work to defend the zoning approval for Zichron Schneur. He also was a founder of Bais Nosson Tzvi on Willow Court. His brother, Adam, has served as the lawyer for the Lakewood MUA.

Harrison was a law clerk for Superior Court Judge Arnold Goldman, and was then appointed as manager of the Lakewood office of the Motor Vehicle Commission.
Commissioner Yakov Steinberg noted that Pfeffer’s legal and business background would be an asset to the Fire District.
Pfeffer will serve until the next fire election in February 2020.
