JUST IN: Lakewood Board of Ed accepts President’s resignation; Superintendent’s contract finalized; 192/193 coordinator becomes Piners Elementary School Vice Principal [UPDATED]

The Lakewood Board of Education has accepted the President's resignation moments ago during a special meeting. After announcing his resignation last month, the Board refused to accept it. It is now final following last night's letter.

Board member Moshe Bender has been voted in as the new Board President.

Also during this morning's meeting, the Board approved the financials regarding Superintendent Winters' contract. She will reportedly earning the most allowed.

Winters was initially offered an interim position, which she turned down. She was then offered a three-year term.

Attorney Inzebuch's return to the Board was at one point contingent on her remaining with the District – but Inzelbuch still turned down the Board Counsel offer (as reported on TLS on Friday).

Sources tell TLS Inzelbuch may still be considering the position.

In another shakeup, Tobree Mostel – who served as Supervisor of 192/193 services – left the position for Piners Elementary School Vice principal. A replacement has not yet been named.
