JUST IN: Khal Nachlas Avos in Jackson Receives Final Planning Approval

After five years of hearings and clashing with Jackson Township, Khal Nachlas Avos has secured final Planning Approval.

The Shul, under the auspices of Rabbi Mordechai Hirsch, has uniquely received both Zoning and Planning Board approvals, and was the motivation for Jackson Township to adopt Ordinances in December 2023 and amended Ordinance in June 2025 to permit Shuls in all residential zones within the township.

Rabbi Hirsch was the first applicant in the Township to go before the Zoning Board to apply for a Shul, and despite meeting and exceeding all requirements, met fierce resistance.
