Jackson Police have arrested a man wanted for the stabbing of a woman at the Paragon Apartments on Larsen Road, following a two-day manhunt that ended in Edison, NJ.
The incident occurred on November 27th at approximately 11:36 PM, when officers responded to a report that a female victim had been stabbed in the abdomen by her ex-boyfriend inside 1020 Larsen Road. Officers arrived to find the severely injured victim on the floor as a family member reported that the attacker was Jaden Thompson.
While officers provided aid to the victim, additional units searched the area and determined that Thompson had fled in a black 2012 Nissan Altima.
According to police, the stabbing occurred during an argument between Thompson and the victim. With assistance from the U.S. Marshals, investigators located Thompson two days later in Edison. He allegedly led Edison Police on a vehicle pursuit that ended in a crash. Thompson fled on foot but was quickly apprehended.
Thompson has since been transferred to Jackson Police custody and lodged in the Ocean County Jail. He faces multiple charges including first-degree attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, endangering the welfare of a child, weapons offenses, and criminal trespass.
