Hatzolah Central Jersey Administrator Motty Twerski will be moving up to become the Executive Director of the organization, TLS has learned.
There was currently no such position, and Twerski will be the first to be at the helm.
In 2019, Twerski was appointed as Deputy EMS Coordinator for Ocean County. He is also a board member of the NJOEMS Council representing all volunteer EMS agencies in the State, as well as a member of the State BLS Subcommittee.
Since his involvement with the State Department of Emergency Medical Services, he has accomplished much for EMS and Hatzolah squads in New Jersey.
Among his accomplishments, in 2010, Rabbi Twerski trained in Homeland Security Emergency Planning and Incident Command, and has since been asked by Home Security to attend many Emergency exercises as a State evaluator.
Rabbi Twerski also works closely with Lakewood Township EMS, Lakewood First Aid & Lakewood Police Department as OEM.
Hatzolah today also appointed an Executive Assistant, Tzvi Silberstein. Silberstein, is a physical therapist by training and holds a doctorate in physical therapy. Silberstein’s experience in operations stems from the business side of physical therapy where he excelled as an operations manager of multiple physical therapy centers for the past 10 years.
Silberstein will be joining the team to work under the direction of the captains as an Executive Assistant. He will be working alongside Motty Twerski on various tasks related to day-to-day operations.
“This will allow us to better streamline operations as well as being more responsive to our growing membership needs,” Hatzolah said. “We are confident this addition will allow the organization to continue growth in a controlled and scalable manner.”
