A Frum girl was assaulted a short time ago on Park Avenue, police confirm to TLS.
The girl, said by neighbors to be in her teens, was walking near the train tracks on Park Avenue just south of County Line Road shortly before 6 PM when a man allegedly jumped her.
Police tell TLS the man tried grabbing her phone, and knocked the girl to the ground in an apparent random assault.
The girl screamed and the man fled, police say.
The suspect is described as Hispanic male wearing a black shirt, black pants and carrying a backpack.
The girl was not seriously injured.
An investigation is underway.

Here is what I think. Everyone here seems to think the Police can be everywhere and they know everything it takes to be a policeman. Civil Service gives the test every couple of year. How about you try this take the police exam, get a high enough score to qualify for the job. Then when you do get hired go to the Police Acadmey for 28 weeks learn how to do the job. Then when you hit the streets start worrying about if your going to be able to go home to the family that night. Or if you may end up in the hospital because someone wanted to be an idiot. Then you could be super man and stop all crime. Until that day comes nobody should question the police and how to do the job, so just stay behind your computer.
