A toddler is being hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle, and pinned underneath.
The accident happened approximately 5:00 PM on Eighth Street, when a driver was reportedly turning into his driveway, not noticing the two-year-old child walking across the driveway. The child’s mother was feet away when it happened.
Two Chaverim of Central Jersey units were nearby when the accident happened and immediately jacked up the car to free the child.
Hatzolah and Lakewood First Aid responded to the scene and treated the child for facial injuries before transporting him to JSUMC with paramedics as a precaution.
“It’s a major Neis,” a passerby on scene told TLS, as the child luckily landed between the wheels of the vehicle.
Police are investigating the incident.
Hope all will be fine. However if you have children you must come up your driveway slowly. I see too many parents driving up fast into their driveway.
Chasdei Hashem!!!
Sending prayers for this child and their parents.
One doesn’t have to be a toddler to be struck by a vehicle that takes turns too quickly. A refuah Shalayma.
