Brick Police Chief Riccio has declared a State of Emergency in Brick Township.
The morning storms have caused extensive flooding throughout the township which has resulted in over 100 evacuations by Police, EMS and Fire Departments in the Green Briar I Community.
Chief Riccio is coordinating with the Office of Emergency Management as well as the Red Cross to assist people displaced from their homes.
Citizens are asked to remain off of the roads and remain home as more severe storms are expected this afternoon and early evening.
How can Brick TOWNSHIP declare a STATE of emergency. Haha.
