JUST IN: Blizzard Watch Issued for the Area; 6-14 Inches of Snow Possible

blizzard watch tls the lakewood scoopThe National Weather Service has moments ago cancelled the Winter Storm Watch, replacing it with a Blizzard Watch for the area.

The Blizzard Watch is in effect from Friday evening through Sunday morning.

The Watch, issued for Southeastern New Jersey and Central Delaware, is expected to bring blizzard conditions with heavy snow, strong winds and blowing snow.

Snow accumulations of 6 to 14 inches is possible.

Snow is expected to overspread the area from south to north Friday evening, primarily after the evening commute, then continue to be heavy at times into Sunday morning. The strongest winds and greatest potential for blizzard conditions will be on Saturday. Wind gusts of 55 MPH are possible.

Snow may cling to wires and trees which could cause numerous power outages. Prepare accordingly.

For Shabbos, you may want to prepare 48-hour candles to place in safe areas around the home.

  1. 26 hr. candles don’t always last that long. If you want them to last add a little olive oil (not too much or it’ll snuff out the flame) to prolong the life of the flame.

  2. Sorry to rain on everyone’s parade , but I think this is a hoax
    Maybe one inch tops
    It’s ok though
The stores needed the boost to help the economy and get rid of all their snow inventory
But mark my words NO SNOWSTORM
