greg and the gang thank you for everything you do for us.
taxes went up and we need to spend money on this? i know several people who could cut the waste and the township could have a surplus.
stop the pay to play
Happy July 1st Mr. Langert.
DPW reg’ work day friday.
Thanks Lakewood
this is about as dumb as it gets tomorrow is NOT the 4th
Oh I forgot we are in Lakewood they change all the rules to suite them
anyway I wont be there ~ maybe on the 4th i”ll go see fireworks somewhere else where they didn’t change the date of a national holiday !!
On behalf of all Canadians we would like to thank lakewood for putting on such a nice show in honor of Canada day.
I think its a good compromise.
Riddle: what date of the month do we celebrate July 4th? You said July 4th? wrong! you have another 2 guesses!
While all of u are upset about this did you know Brick is also doing there fireworks and concert at Winward Beach this evening, and Point Plesant will do fire works every thursday through the summer. So thankyou Lakewood, now the rest of the holiday weekend id freed up for us to go enjoy the fireworks in a nice upscale community.
I feel in these economically challenging times we should have cancelled the fire works and celebrate privately in a way that doesn’t cost us the taxpayers so much!
What is America celebrating anyway? Our freedoms? We are losing more and more of our freedoms day by day. This gov’t. is putting more restrictions on our way of life, all in the name of security and other baloney. They are becoming more socialist and communist and are choking us to pieces, so what do we celebrate July 4th for? Just another day to eat watermelon, have a barbecue and watch fireworks, while our freedoms go down the drain!
All you guys that comment on here bug out about seriously the stupidest things just chill out and enjoy life and the fireworks
#11 If you don’t like the USA then just leave, the rest of us won’t miss you.
Good idea having fireworks tonight. No one will go and that will be a good excuse to stop it for good. Poor attendance.
It was poor attendance..and the fireworks weren’t that great either..I would say there were less than a third of residents there this year…next year just cancel the event..why bother..no one here cares anymore..not even the township committee…the one celebration that means something and it is pushed off to the middle of the week to offset the cost. There was no offset..did you see the police presence there? that alone was all overtime work. The only cost you didn’t have is your volunteer fire dept and First aid squad there..everyone else was on special duty….No Savings There.. sorry that is just how I feel.
