Judge Delays Decision On Halting Work On Cell Tower

larry loigman esqJudge Grasso in court today has ordered the attorney to return next Monday for the hearing on placing a temporary halt on the cell tower, the Attorney for Presidential Estates and other developments, Larry Loigman Esq. informed TLS. In the interim, Wireless Edge – the company who erected the tower – has to submit their brief, and T-Mobile – the actual user of the antenna, although other companies may also rent space on the tower later – is to be notified.

Also, Loigman Esq. will have a chance to reply to the Township’s brief, which was just submitted at today’s hearing.

“I’m encouraged that the judge is moving this case very quickly, and hope that he will carefully consider our argument next Monday”, Loigman tells TLS.

  1. This is a total waste of time and a total waste of the taxpayer money. Did you know that a cell tower exists near police headquarters with an American flag on it? Complain, complain, complain…that is what you do best. This suit is pathetic.

  2. Half of the other towers in town are smartly camouflaged so no one can complain about them
Don’t see anyone dropping dead from them why is this one any different

  3. If those living near this cell tower are really so concerned, then they all should give up their own cell phones, blackberries, etc. Their cell signals are coming off of towers which are in someone else’s backyard. Quit being so hypocritical.

  4. In my opinion the most important thing is the taxpayer. Is this going to cost or save the taxpayer money? If the lawsuit will cost us money, let’s not fight it. Who cares if there is a tower or not. Main thing is no taxes. Same with any other lawsuit against the Town. Stop wasting tax dollars on defending lawsuits that are not going to cost us anything anyways. The role of Governmentis to lower taxes and nothing else.

  5. to 7 – there are more residents closer to the Municipal parking lot tower then the tower by Presidential estates. The issue is some residents want cellphone reception but don’t want to see the tower.

  6. For people’s information – The radio tower at the police station puts out more radiation than any cell tower does. How come none of you have complained about it yet?

  7. if this tower is removed it opens the door for every tower previously errected to be questioned in court as to its effect financially on those who live in close proximatety if that is the crux of this conflict

  8. The cell tower’s should all be moved to the industrial park or airport road. We the seniors do not want a cell tower near us nor should it be near other residents.

  9. Guess what! The MUA plans on having cell towers on their water tanks, one in the industrial park on airport road, and the other on the water tank in ocean county park, off ridge ave. Their legal ads were in Tuesday’s APP. No one is immune for the need to build more and more cell towers.
