  1. This is great news.
There are still over 75 girls without a high school for the coming year. Hopefully this school can alleviate most of the pressure on the mosdos.
    Hatzlocha Rabbah !!

  2. I don’t think this school has room for 75 girls. But there are several mainstream schools that definitely have room, if only the parents would be willing to enroll there.

  3. This school is within mainstream. And not a question of 75 girls. If every girl would go where she belongs within the mainstream, most would have placement. It is an option.

  4. Mark,
Please enlighten us as to which schools have room that you are referring to. And please provide a contact number for the parents to call you on.
    Thank you.

  5. I don’t know who would have room today. But I do know that one regular great school had 3 parallel classes this past year and is only going to have 2 parallel in the upcoming year because of lack of enrollment. That’s a loss of 30 to 35 slots. And another great regular school which had 3 parallel classes in some previous years ,will only be having 1 class next year . They were willing and could have accommodated another 60 girls. So that’s 90 slots that were available. The real question is not who has room today in the last minute. The real question is ,was there more room available during the application process, and the loud answer is yes ,had parents wanted ,just these 2 schools would have supplied 90 more slots . These are both mainstream schools ,sharing the same teachers as all the rest of the high schools and sharing the same subjects and same hashkafas . If parents don’t avail themselves of these slots during the application process you can’t demand that these schools just start new classes now at the last second.

  6. Why didn’t the Vaad just make sure that these schools had 3 classes each ? Why couldn’t they just explain to parents that unless these schools are full with 3 parallel classes apiece, there will be a shortage of 90 slots at the end . I’m sure if parents would have realized this in January, then these schools would have had full enrollment
