Jackson Township inviting residents to share their feedback regarding the township’s residential recycling services. With the current recycling contract having expired with an option to renew for one year, Mayor Jennifer L. Kuhn and the Jackson Council are evaluating options for the coming year, including the potential to switch vendors and reduce costs for residents.
The township wants to hear from you, the residents, before making a final decision on whether to extend the existing contract for another year or pursue a new service provider. Residents are encouraged to share their experiences and opinions about the current recycling program, including whether they are satisfied with the biweekly residential recycling service.
Council President Mordechai Burnstein explained that community feedback will help guide the council’s decision-making process.
“Our goal is to ensure that Jackson residents receive reliable, cost-effective recycling services. We want to hear directly from those who use the service.” Burnstein said.
This year, the company is seeking a nearly $70,000 increase.
Residents can also submit their comments or questions about recycling services via email to Council President Mordechai Burnstein at [email protected]. The council urges residents to take part in this feedback effort to help shape the future of Jackson Township’s recycling program.
Are they doing a good job? Let us know!

I think they do a great job!
However it would be nice if pickup was more often than every other week
Yes but that will cost a lot more than 70000 more
I think they do a great job. They take everything they are supposed to and never had any issues. I think they should negotiate and meet halfway and keep the same company or let them raise it but come one a week instead of every other week.
Need weekly
They do a great job but biweekly doesn’t cut it. Our garbages are exploding by that time
Same as everyone else – the service is great, but we need it weekly.
That’s just the cost of the pickup service. Not included is the cost the recyclers charge to actauly make the reclcleables recycled. That’s twice as much.
How about they take over the garbage pickup and I don’t have to be paying hundreds of dollars for what the township should be doing??!?
Goose has no complaints and encourages other folks who frequent themselves in the Republican stronghold of Jackson Township NJ to throw away their recycling in their regular garbage bins.
Do not worry about ethics or the environment. Unless it’s super convenient do not save boxes or plastic for recycling day.
Goose is proud to say that he has thrown away thousands of pounds of recycling materials into the regular garbage.
Gossage out!
