The opposition in the recent Jackson election has conceded today, and released the following statement.
”While the results of this election are not what we had hoped for, we want to take a moment to thank every single person who supported our campaign.
Your enthusiasm, dedication and belief in the vision we put forward, have helped carry us through. We are honored by the thousands of residents who supported us by way of donated time and contributions, and not a well funded – well connected and well organized machine. Through our campaign, we sought to open the eyes of residents on how deep the pay to play establishment is in Jackson and Ocean County.
Although this election is over, our work is not. We will continue to advocate for the values we share and work towards a better future for all. To our opponents, we wish you well and hope you remember to ensure all voices of Jackson are being heard.”
As earlier reported, Mordy Burnstein won the election by 228 votes.
