Jackson Mayor on anti-Semitic message at park: “It will not be tolerated”; Incident being treated as Hate Crime

Jackson Township officials today are condemning the anti-Semitic message found at a park yesterday, first reported on TLS.

Officials stated, “The Township of Jackson condemns the anti-Semitic message that appeared recently in Woodlane Park. The drawing of a swastika in the ground is shocking and unacceptable.”

“Jackson Township will treat this as a hate crime and when found, the perpetrators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The Jackson Township community will not be intimidated by such acts of hate.”

Jackson Mayor Michael Reina added, “We do not condone this behavior and it will not be tolerated. We accept everyone into our community and any message of hate is taken very seriously. I encourage anyone with information to come forward.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Jackson Police Department at 732-928-1111.

  1. Perhaps people should learn what a real swastika looks like. The one in the picture is NOT a Nazi swastika. It is a Native American sign. A swastika is pointed the opposite way. Oh, when are people going to learn.

  2. Bla bla bla, you can’t have it both ways!! The current administration is implicate in the hate, they encourage all the ordinances to willfully target the orthodox community. They are the ones who started all this, it’s not our fault that we are misunderstood, it’s theirs. The mere fact they are willing to go through all the lawsuits brought against them knowing they will lose on the grounds of civil rights speaks volumes to their intentions. It’s hard to imagine that a few bad apples can cause an entire town to look as hateful as it currently looks.
