Jackson Mayor Michael Reina this evening issued a statement to TLS fully supporting Israel.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and the people of Israel as they go through yet another despicable terrorist attack perpetrated on children and other non combatants,” Reina said.

He added, “I hope that justice will be swift and that these horrific atrocities planned by Hamas will quickly end. The world needs peace again, and to those whose hatred towards humanity means taking the lives of the innocent, then the peacekeepers will have no other choice but to bring upon on them a wrath never imagined.”

“Israel should and will defend itself to make certain this never happens again. Make no mistake about it, we do not condone nor will we stand idly by and let this hatred run rampant without punishment. I stand with Israel.”
