FIRST REPORT: [Click on images to enlarge] Senator Singer, as well as Assemblyman Ronald Dancer, both of the 30th District have officially confirmed today that they will not be seeking re-election this November. Although Singer has confirmed the decision to several parties earlier in the week, as first reported on TLS, an official statement has
just been released moments ago by the Senator’s office.
“It was a true privilege and honor to also represent the people of Lakewood at the local level, and I was fortunate to be afforded this avenue of personal contact with the community”, Singer states.
Ronald Dancer is also the mayor of plumsted township which seat is he not seeking reelection for, asesembly or mayor
Go Isaac Akerman!!!
This a a very smart political move by both of these well respected, dedicated public servants. They have made us proud and will continue to make us proud on the state level.
Assemblyman Dancer will not be seeking re-election to his seat on the Plumsted Township Committee as Mayor.
I don’t think the whole Ackerman thing is a coincident. The political big wigs plan these kind of things well in advance.
This decision has nothing to do with Ackerman. When faced with being forced to leave office (Chrisite has hinted to abolishing the grandfather dual-office holding clause) or resign from re-election, you ALWAYS save face by resigning.
Bob has served Lakewood well and will continue to do so from Trenton.
We must put an end to double dipping. The Mayor of Brick now has 3 full time jobs. Christie must’ve pressured these men to resign. I can’t see Singer doing it on his own volition.
for all the double dippers maybe the end is coming. look out toms river and their board of education, look out brick with the triple dipping.
Actually, many of these are non-paying jobs, so ypu cannot call it double-dipping!
so who will be the democratic candidate in the township elections this november?
