This is a great ad. It informs people of the truth.
Negative campaigning is when you descend to personal attacks against another person. An example of negative campaigning would be talking about how Bob Singer (moderated) That’s negative personal attacks, because it has nothing to do with policy, it just plays on peopl’e emotions in a negative way.
This ad, however, tell us the policy differences between the two. This is keeping us informed. Well done!!
Akerman, you have earned my vote. You have run a clean, issues-oriented campaign, and you showed us how your policies would be better for us than Marta’s policies would.
You won my vote because we need someone like you who’s main focus will be on cutting taxes, unlike Marta.

I got a letter in the mail from Marta Harrison explaining her postions and what she’s done in the past.
I got nothing from Ackerman. Now the first thing that I see from his campaign is telling me why NOT to vote for Harrison. Why not tell me what you will do for Lakewood, Ackerman?
I do see this as a negative ad. It may not be a smear campaign but it’s still negative- tell me why to vote for you, not all the bad things about your opponent.
To #8 this is exactly why to vote for Akerman, period.

I wont say there is no corruption but to go after he r without presenting what it was spent on how much more taxes came in a each year with all the new building. he just looks like politics as usual……………………………………. time to do a last minute write in campaign.

I agree with #10. you can’t say she increased spending by “x” amount unless you take into account that the town was growing, etc.
Again, I have yet to hear anything positive (anything at all, besides this video) from Ackerman’s campaign about what he has done or what he plans to do.
He interviewed with the local papers including the APP and with Bill Hobday. His message is out there. Where are you?
Its gonna be a fun ride..lets see how much more we can lose. Fire, Police, EMS keep cutting you will have no services at all. I can’t say either way whether I will vote for either..it basically depends on who you can believe more. It’s just a shame how Lakewood has gone downhill over the years. Just a shame
Enough with the letter from Harrison. Akerman didn’t send letters to anyone, so what? He’s had articles about him and his positions in multiple papers. Why does he have to send a letter to earn your vote?? Vote on the positions and past history!
This ad is not negative, it just attempts to clear up mis-perceptions that Harrison is trying to put out about her record. While I don’t think they needed to put it out, it’s not negative.

To those of you who take issue with this video ad, are you suggesting that Marta get a free pass on her false campaign ads, just because this message has a negative undertone? How else do you expect the voters to be informed of the actual facts about her record?!
the fact is he promised only positive campaigning. it might not be the easiest campaign to run but that is what he promised. Now he broke that promise so he has lost my vote.
I don’t believe for a second the posts of people who are saying that he lost their vote because of this ad. These are Harrison Supporters from the start (if it’s more than one person posting). Vote for Albert Akerman tomorrow.

you need to vote for someone that really has the best interest of the entire community goyin and jewish. Not just frum. We all pay taxes and coexist in this town. Enough already.
I do not recall that the Shorrock Street 150 acre parcel had wetlands. If so, it was very buildable .
The town grows each year. The total taxes collected goes up each year. Without comparing these two PERCENTAGES, you dont know if and by how much taxes went up! Both sides dont get it – or, dont want us to get it!
