FIRST REPORT: TLS has learned that the current interim Business Administrator for the Board of Education – Thomas D’ambola – has quit. But it gets worse. The Business Administrator who has just been hired as the permanent Administrator, to replace Robert Finger, has decided to back down from the position.
These decisions come just days after the permanent position for the BA was announced, as reported here on TLS.
Bill Thomson, and auditor turned Business Administrator, was voted into the job at a rate of $165,000 annually. Thomson was set to replace the 3 year administrator Robert Finger who abruptly resigned in September
TLS contacted BOE member Chesky Seitler regarding the latest developments, but he declined to comment until the issues are resolved.
You couldn’t pay me enough to take that job. Guess they couldn’t pay them enough either!

i know of a BA who came to Lakewood for an interview and after seeing what was going on, left as fast as he came.

The problem is that most people talk a good 1 . Regardless to the pay issue, you have to want to be someplace in order to make a difference. If that ‘s all it took to scare him away than let him shake his tail feathers someplace else. We need men who will stand and fight and not tuck and run at the sign of trouble . Win or Lose make sure its known you’re here to fight

They are all running because from now on THERE ARE EYES WATCHING. It’s not a free for all anymore and the bad apples are falling very quickly.
Chezky keep up the good work. All beginnings are difficult. I’m sure you’ll get the right people in there who will do only good for the general population.

The new Boe members did not make any mess. There was the biggest mess when they came. Out of control spending with no accountability.Before they were elected taxes for the Boe were supposed to go up 10 percent after they took oFfice there was a 0 percent increase.
There are numerous special interests that are trying to cause confusion and disturbances to be able to get there agenda passed.
at a glance these people were able to see the books maybe over cooked. and the past and present like the books just the way they are. what a mess. it is time to let the state take over, because we can’t govern ourselves.

Why doesn’t Chesky resign as BOE member and apply for the BA position? Think about it… he is smart, good with numbers, wants accountability and claims to want ALL children of Lakewood to have the best in education. On those merits, let him legally sign his name on the dotted line in truth.

This group of LAC members are hard to work with-they are inexperienced and act on impulse. I hate to bring up Tiny Tots and the way it was handled again, but you can clearly see who we are dealing with.
The position of BA is a difficult one and here in Lakewood, with young inexperienced people bullying the BA as if they know better (believe me-they don’t know better) it is an impossible job.
I appreciate the LAC’s good intentions, but they are totally incapable and should not be voted in again.

no one wants this job as soon as they see what is taking place within the Lakewood BOE
