PHOTOS: Holocaust Survivor Helena Sininsky who worked for the Township’s Inspection Department for twenty five years, retired on Friday.
Though her official title was Switchboard Operator, “behind the scenes she was the boss of it all”, said Committeeman Steven Langert.
Department officials, Township officials and colleagues gathered on Friday for a goodbye party for her, where they enjoyed pizza and a cake embedded with a dinosaur, and accepted well-wishes on her retirement.
“She will be missed dearly”, said her boss – Inspection Department head Mike Saccamano, “not only as a co-worker but as a friend. Her personal experience surviving the holocaust taught me valuable life lessons. I wish her the best on retirement.”
Deputy Mayor Akerman, among those who attended the small gathering, also had nothing but praise for Helena.
“Mrs. Sininsky served the town faithfully for 25 years, and was very well liked by her peers and the public”, Akerman said. “She will be remembered and missed.”
Committeeman Langert echoed the warm wishers for her and said “Helana is a wonderful person. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to meet her and get to know her. Hashem should bless her with good health in her retirement.” TLS.
