Two weeks ago, a family was shattered, when European police raided the home of Jewish father-of-4 Yehuda Schoenfeld*. At the time of his arrest, Yehuda had no idea why he was being detained. Before long, the dark truth was revealed: His identity was stolen, and used for tax evasion. Through no fault of his own, he is now sitting in prison.

Lawyers say that it is possible to free Yehuda and bring him home to his children relatively easily, for the astronomical sum of $200,000. Yehuda’s wife, Chana, has written an emotional letter to the public begging strangers to help free her husband.

In the meantime, Yehuda’s condition is worsening. He is in an extremely brutal environment, surrounded by criminals. This is particularly terrifying in Europe given the current climate of anti-semitism. By all accounts, he is not safe.

Until they get the help they need, Yehuda is on his own in his cell, and Chana is on her own with 4 terrified children.
