The combination of increased patrol together with awareness resulted in few reported burglaries over Pesach, police say. During Yom Tov, police – as well as LCSW – have increased patrols in the Frum (Orthodox) communities in attempt to deter crime, and fewer burglaries than years passed show the method was effective.
In past years, until about two years, many homeowners returning from Pesach vacation have found their homes to be burglarized either via forced entry or through unlocked doors or windows.
Over Yom Tov, LCSW says they had 4 volunteers patrolling the primarily Orthodox communities during the nights.

Even one burglary is more than enough. Years ago this town had no bugrlaries and I used to leave my door open all the time even when I went out.

but # 1 means he didn’t see them doing visible patrols so people can fell safer
