IN PHOTOS: More on the Plane Crash at Monmouth Executive Airport

As first reported on TLS, authorities are investigating a plane crash at Monmouth Executive Airport.

“Fortunately there were no injuries last night due to the fact that the aircraft had plenty of room when confronted by an unexpected weather event,” said Rita Spader, Director of Operations. “This might not always be the case though. As you may have read, the airport is presently objecting to a local developer’s plan to build 6 warehouse facilities directly in line with the centerline of the runway. If those warehouses are built and there is an undershoot or overshoot accident there will be a much greater risk of injury to those in the plane and those on the ground.”

The airport is currently working with the Wall police, Glendola fire, Certified towing and crane, FAA and NTSB. The airport is open and active.
