  1. wonderful organization – they do wonderful things and are tzadikim gemurim
The over-the-top gashmius is not in line with frum values.

    • Do the rest of us have to see this indulgence? Is this a scene of an Am Kadosh Erev Matan Torah? Chessed & Tzedakah are tremendously important but so is Histapkus, Tznius, & kedushas hachaim. Unrestrained taavah is the opposite goal of an Oved Hashem. If you need to do this, keep it private without publicity, especially since many readers are simply struggling to put food on the table. Super-charged olom hazeh doesn’t bring more happiness.

  2. I was at this fundraiser this week
It was the hosts that arranged the event at the new misameach building
It was not arranged by misameach

    • This is not hate.
      This is not personal.
This about protecting the kedusha of our brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, of heilige Am Yisroel.

The very fiber of a Yid’s life is dependent on their restraint and self-control from overindulging in gashmius, and in ta’avos olam hazeh. The more on indulges and lets himself be pulled after physical indulgences; he is pulled away from his ability to serve Hashem. This is not a chance, this is automatic. This is our nature, and how we are designed. See Mesilas Yesharim Chapter 1.

When we see Yidden flaunting their overindulgences in the public eye, we have an obligation to protest.

We are not accusing them of having bad motives, nor of “hating on them”. We are just proclaiming with one voice, “Kach lo hi darka shel Torah”.

Klal Yisroel Areivim, and we have an achrayus for each other. We have the greatest love for every Yid, yet we must speak up. Just like you must tell of your child when they do something wrong, so too we must tell our brother when he does something wrong. “Hocheiach tochiach es amisecha”.

One who fails to do this Mitzvah is held accountable as if he did it himself. (See Berachos 31a and Baba Metzia 31a הוכח אפי’ ק’ פעמים משמע)

We do it with love and respect, and that shows our love and respect.
