  1. This hurts me so much. I am not sure why every Jewish website feels
that it is their moral responsibility to fill the world with news of such things. It is almost as if they are capitalizing on it to fill their blogs.

Yes it is important to know, as much as I wish I never heard about it, but to continue with post after post just shows how sick we are. Every heart pained shelo lishem shamayim by bloggers is noted in heaven.

  2. I am sorry aryeh i have to disagree with you. Hashem causes these things to happen for us to wake up and to mourn and to do teshuva. its easier to live life not knowing of tragedy this way we will not feel guilty when we go on with life and mundane things. It should be known so that we can truly feel and understand the tragedy. As a member of the syrian jewish community i am so deeply pained. these children are the children of all of am yisrael and we should know so that maybe this time it will penetrate, maybe this time we will change. we need action each person should take upon themselves something lilluy nishmat these seven pure souls. Yes ignorance is bliss but teshuva is necessary, please i beg of everyone make one small change and may klal yisrael no longer be filled with such tragedy and may we rejoice.

  3. I actually agree with Aryeh. As a matter of fact, I agree with “disagree” as well. In essence what I’m saying is “disagree” is actually disagreeing with Aryeh.

Like “disagree” said, Hashem wants us all to feel the pain and change ourselves. The Jewish medias role in this is to make the community aware of the terrible tragedy. A posting about the levaya times and details would also be a helpful function of the Jewish media. After that it’s every Jews responsibility to take the tragedy to heart and make an inner cheshbon hanefesh. It’s the job of each individual rav to talk to his community about what Hashem wants from them. The medias job is over. No need for pictures of the levaya. No need for repeated postings. Thank you Aryeh for pointing this out.

  4. I agree with you 100% you missed what I was saying. It is VERY important for everyone to know. What bothers me is the zillion pictures snapped and videos taken. Yes it is vital to let the world know, but not simply to fill the blogs with news. Trust me the blogs are not in it for teshuva like you and i, they are in it for themselves.
