[COMMUNICATED] Eyal Peretz and his family were in the news last week, after news spread of Eyal’s unjustified arrest by the Polish government and lack of access to legal resources. Eyal was held in prison for two years without trial.
After that time, the courts determined that he was innocent, and that he could be released in return for a shocking sum of $130,000. Peretz’s wife reportedly sold their home to afford the fee. After it was paid, however, he was still not released. Instead he remained in a detention facility where his health has begun to decline. This week he suffered his third heart attack.
His famliy, with the support of rabbanim, are fighting to bring him home. Donations are badly needed to help them cover the legal fees necessary to release Eyal from Polish prison, before his health worsens any further. His 3 children eagerly await his return.
