Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles released the following message to TLS this morning.
Good morning. Even though it is just raining this morning, we expect it to change over to snow around noon today.
It is expected to be a wet, heavy snow and it could accumulate quickly with potential of 3-6 inches by early evening.
Please stay off the roads if possible and try to get all vehicles off the street to allow our plows to clean this up as quickly as possible. Be very careful if you are shoveling. This type of snow is very heavy. Take your time and do not injure yourself.
Please check in on elderly neighbors.
Spring isn’t far away. Hopefully in a couple of weeks we will all be enjoying the nice weather. In the meantime be careful today. Stay warm and be safe.
And what about all the kids in school? Perhaps there shld be a 1200 dismissal. For the high schools also.
If you are saying to stay off the road why would you send the kids to school today? They will be coming home in the snow
ITS RAINING
This is being blown outta proportion,Lakewood is getting a ton of rain. only north west jersey & NY are getting accumilations
Thank you Mr mayor
Can the township arrange a parking lot (maybe stadium) with shuttles before and after the storm so that we can clear the streets of all cars.
With all building and rented basements there is NO ROOM TO PUT CARS OTHER THEN THE STREET!!!!!!!
YOU LET THIS HAPPEN .NOW DEAL WITH IT!!!!
