  1. Wow. They were a good store who served thousands of Anas”h over the years. Now, what are the new owners gonna do with it ?
    Houses ?
    Stores ?

  2. To the entire Barney’s family:

Thank you for always servicing your customers with professionalism and integrity. I always felt like I could trust that I was getting top quality service whenever I brought my cars to your store. You will be missed.

    A loyal customer since 2006

  3. Barney’s has been taking gr8 care of my savanna van, honda pilot and others, since I moved to Lakewood 28 years ago. At that time, the traffic ‘congestion’ on County Line was about 2 cars passing by per minute. Rich, the owner is a hard-working and honest man who takes great pride in his work, and he and his wonderful staff will be missed. Best of luck to you all.

  4. Barney’s was a great place to have your car serviced by. Honest and reliable service. I am really going to miss having them around. Now I have to find a new mechanic who will hopefully not take weeks to have my car fixed or serviced.

  5. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Rich was my favorite most small-town honest knowledgeable mechanic. He gave me a great price on an axle recently when he realized he gave me the wrong quote earlier.
I WILL MISS THIS MECHANIC. Looks like I’m migrating to the one near Evergreen that I liked almost as much, just it’s a bit far out for me being in the Northeast part of town.

  6. We too will miss Barney’s. Giving our car in for service was not an ordeal when we gave it to Barney’s. They made reliable repairs within one day without any shtick or nonsense. Best of luck to you!

  7. I’ve had some good deep conversations with him , over the years.
He told me he was brought up living in the small house right across the street from the shop.
He always said, how everything changed here, times were different.
One amazing story: he said he remembers being slapped by his mother once as a kid. He was at home and said “hey mom…” She slapped me & said , that’s how you talk to your mother? A mother is not your friend! “

  8. Sad to see this, another long standing business that was an icon here in Lakewood close its doors, I can understand that retirement is something after many years in business a goal to achieve and hopefully enjoy the later years in life !
