As earlier reported, the fireworks show in Lakewood will be taking place on July 7.

Lakewood Resident Not Sure He’ll Be Free To Attend This Week’s Independence Day Celebrations
Lakewood resident, Sal Brating, told reporters on Monday that he’s not certain he’ll be attending this week’s Independence Day Celebrations because, as he explained, “My boss has assigned me a heavy workload, and I’m not sure I’ll be free to attend the Independence Day celebrations.”
However, Mr. Brating added: “If my boss allows me a few minutes of downtime, I might be able to grab a hot dog or two and catch at least one bottle rocket going off.”
“After all,” Mr. Brating added, “America is the ‘Land Of The Free’, so I feel pretty confident that my boss will provide me with a few minutes of free time to breathe a bit of fresh air, grab a quick hot dog and catch a bottle rocket going off, and maybe even two to three bottle rockets going off, if things go well.”
“I mean, it’s not like I’m unshackling myself permanently,” Mr. Brating said, “because, as soon as my few minutes of free time is up and I’m done celebrating Independence Day in this ‘Land Of The Free’, I’ll be back at work shouldering the incredible workload that’s been foisted upon me round-the-clock, 24/7.”
