Hundreds Of Pounds Of Copper Stolen

ciu tlsPolice and CIU are currently investigating the theft of hundreds of pounds of Copper stolen from a construction zone. The thief(s) broke into several trucks at the Construction zone on James Street and made off with approximately 600 pounds of Copper piping. Copper has been a valuable item and target of burglaries since its price skyrocketed in 2006. According to a report, copper burglaries usually rise and fall with the prices of the copper. A report also finds, that the theft is usually committed by someone who knows what they’re doing-an electrician for example.

  1. Looks like you can’t leave construction sites without a watchdog on the premises. A well trained German shepherd dog should do the trick. It would be cheaper than a guard.

  2. Since when is the LCSW supposed to patrol a construction site. I thought they were here to keep watch over the community and assist the people in lakewood. When did they become the security for construction sites around lakewood. I think the developer should arrange security at his own expense for protection of the products and supplies he has on the site..not the LCSW
