Actually, the occasion of the party is upon receiving their first volume of the Torah and beging studying which is a joyous occasion. Not as written in the article that they completed the first volume.

Just asking but was there was a parade today, was Clifton Ave closed to traffic?? Was Traffic and Safety out for OT on a sunday, how come it wasn’t posted that a major road was going to be closed,??

My comment did not violate any of the posted comment rules. I don’t see why you didn’t let it through. The mere fact that I don’t like such parades is no reason to censor my comment.

Oh, now my comment is okay? So let me try again: They should do the chumash dancing in the cheder lunchroom. I see no reason to make a public spectacle of ourselves at the drop of a hat. For thousands of years, our children managed to begin chumash just fine without closing off streets for a public parade.

Did we need extra police on hand for this? How much did this cost the taxpayers? Just asking.
