PHOTOS & VIDEO: Hundreds of men and women, attended a large Asifa last night on the dangers of the Internet, held for parents of Yeshivah Orchas Chaim, which took place at the Yeshivah building. The guest speaker was R’ Norman Lowenthal, a former Principal and currently a Social Worker and Counselor in Torah Academy of Baltimore, who

spoke about the shocking number of children, and adults, exposed to inappropriate content on the Internet and measures parents can take to prevent their children from being exposed to the available material. Rabbi Lowenthal also brought along devices to demonstrate how easily children can get their hands on music, movies and inappropriate material, without their parents’ knowledge. The key to doing so, was by parents’ educating themselves with the available technology and not to be fooled by the ‘small’ devices.
without the internet we would not have TLS or all the other good stuff out there 🙂
What other good stuff are you referring to?
Please everyone out there. Even Yahoo homepage isn’t kosher would you want you kids loking at all the pictures on teh home page. Set google as your home page. avoid their news sites and its trash.

for anyone who might have problems with internet obsession/addiction there is a great resource called guardyoureyes dot org
the point is not how can we turn our kids into techno-nebachs but rather how can we raise their level of hashkafa that they won’t want the trash that is out there.
It’s Talmudical Academy, not Torah Academy of Baltimore.
Why’s the number moderated?
