Howell Police Department Stations Officer on Squankum Road to Assist with Shabbos Chanukah Traffic

Each year on Friday Erev Shabbos Chanukah, Squankum Road becomes heavily backed up due to the many who leave for Shabbos.

In an effort to reduce traffic, the Howell Police Department this year stationed a police officer at the intersection of Squankum Road and Old Tavern Road to allow for a smoother traffic flow.

”I would like to thank the Howell Police Chief and his officers for having the foresight in assisting members of the community on this busy traffic day,” said Meir Lichtenstein of the Lakewood Township.

Commuters reported to TLS the traffic flowed a lot smoother this year as a result of this.
