Howell PD Stopped Over 100 Vehicles During First Week in ‘Target Enforcement Areas’

As reported on TLS last month, after receiving numerous complaints from residents about motor vehicle violations, the Howell Township Council has established a resolution creating four “Target Enforcement Areas.”

These Target Enforcement Areas have two officers, assigned by Chief John Storrow, whose primary responsibility will be traffic enforcement.

The officers, Patrol Officer Courtney Casterlin and Patrol Officer John Curtin, made 100 motor vehicle stops, issued 60 summonses, and gave 58 written and verbal warnings just during the first week of this assignment.

The Target Enforcement Areas are Salem Hill Road, Arnold Boulevard, Newtons Corner Road, and Aldrich Road.

“We will continue to focus on these Target Enforcement Areas, as well as addressing other motor vehicle complaints that are received,” Howell Police said.
