A Howell man suffered burns this evening after his cellphone exploded, TLS has learned.
The incident happened shortly before 5:00 PM when the man was holding the phone. It’s unclear if the phone was being charged at the time.
The explosion burned the man, and also burned a carpet in his home.
Lakewood EMS responded to the scene and treated the burn victim on scene.
Police are investigating the incident.
