  1. You left out 1 choice. Voting, but not straight for any party. Anyone who is currently serving on any Lakewood commission, committee, board etc is not getting my vote in this election or in any future election. They have been voted in automatically year after year, while our beautiful city was ruined. I’m voting them out, no matter which party they belong to. Please join me in this effort!

    • It’s not the people it’s the system.

We created a monopoly for school busing, pay them a fixed price whatever service they give (or even if the buses don’t show), and then we wonder why the children come home so late and need to leave so early, buses don’t show, and routes don’t get picked up.

It’s not the people it’s the system. Allow the schools to hire their own bus routes and watch how fast the service improves.

Create zoning laws that obey the rule of law and are fair across the board, instead of requiring every builder to apply for an exception, and watch how much better things will get.

Make the system fair with the right incentives and then we won’t need to worry about the elections so much.

  2. Why so divisive? So black and white about things. Things aren’t usually as clear cut as the author puts it “straight a or b or none”. You could do better.
