How To Get A Refund For Recalled Medicine

mcneilIf you have any of the recalled children’s pain or allergy products, you should throw them away. McNeil is a division of Johnson and Johnson and has set up a website for anyone wishing to get a refund or high-value coupon for the products included in the recall. Once you’re at the recall site, click on the link if you’d like to request a refund or coupon to purchase another bottle of the medicine. The web page asks you for your personal information like name, address and phone number. Down below it asks for product information. Say for instance you want to get a refund for your Children’s Tylenol, click on the drop down box and highlight Children’s Tylenol.

Then you’ll need to know the NDC number and lot number of that product, the expiration date and whether you want a refund or a coupon to replace the medicine in question.

If you have more than one bottle of medicine that’s being recalled, McNeil provides additional lines below. Once you’ve completed the forms, simply just click submit. Keloland.

  1. Last time there was a recall like this (a few months ago) Shoprite would give you a refund if you brought in the bottle. It did not have to have been purchased there and you did not need the packaging.

  2. This is a “voluntary” recall not a mandatory. The strores do not have to take them off the shelf. yet they should tell you when you check out that there is an issue. The only way to get a refund is through the manufacture. If it would have been a mandatory recall you would be right.
