A local resident visiting family in Texas tested Walmart’s drone-delivery service roday – and shared video of the experience with TLS.
Walmart’s website states orders are usually delivered in 30 minutes, but according to the resident, the item arrived approximately 10 minutes after the order was placed, showcasing how quickly Walmart’s expanding drone network can fulfill small deliveries.
Walmart first announced a large expansion of its drone-delivery partnership with Wing in June 2025, adding the service to 100 additional stores.
The expansion included new metropolitan areas such as Atlanta, Charlotte (NC), Houston, Orlando, and Tampa. The rollout covers several states, including Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas.
New Jersey was not included in any of Walmart’s recent expansion announcements.
Should Lakewood shops begin offering drone delivery service to help customers and delivery drivers avoid traffic hassles?!

Dystopian
NJ will never let, since it will benefit New Jerseyans.
They first have to allow self-serve in gas stations.
I appreciate the valet gas!
Prepare strong umbrellas folks!
I guess the answer to the question “how cool is this?” comes from weighing the cost of convenience against the cost of a segment of society that can no longer find employment?
