Whats the problem with boys or Hs girls ?
Comments #2 & #3 are so typical. Someone (or in this case, a group of someones) steps up to address a problem and rather than hakaras hatov, they hear nothing but complaints that they didn’t do more. Note that this is also the reason for this particular issue in the first place – no one wants to open a school because of this treatment.
agreed . The major reason that people give for not opening up new schools is that they are always blamed for the problems of not enough space . There is this crazy notion by many people that if somebody opens a school ,he somehow becomes responsible to make sure everybody has a school,even if his school is full .

This was exactly what herschel asked them to do a year ago. I guess now that he is important enough to get a hand written letter from Harav Shteinman, he is important enough to listen to. Now when he gets elected watch out. The whole town will improve. Will you get rid of those yellow ugly cans?

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Vaad and all the Askonim that selflessly donate hours and hours of there time taking care of our business instead of just ranting and raving.
Kol Mi SheOiskim Bezurchei Tzibur H’ will reward them even if the people think they are unworthy, protect them from illness because people wish them illness , forgive them for all the so called sins that people accuse them of doing, and don’t be discouraged by the naysayers because H’ will give you Bracha and Hazlacha with everything, because he knows the truth. please keep up the good work.

I am grateful to the Lakewood Vaad that ensures that every child is ultimately placed in school. Where I grew up there was no such organization. My sister spent a year at home as no school would accept her. B”H for the Vaad, last year they worked tirelessly to get my nephew into school before Succos. You can’t imagine my sister’s joy that her son didn’t have to suffer like she did.
tlc why did you not edit my comment? What is wrong with asking who is on the Vaad? They are supposedly representing us we are told to listen to them don’t we have a right to know who the vaad is who are its members who are the voting members? Or perhaps………………………….
Check their letterhead – it’s no secret.
Please produce a letterhead that the public was privy to with a list of its members. Many years ago there was a board on its stationary but in the last several elections when the Vaad issues a letter it has no names listed.
